An outdoor wedding venue with onsite accommodations outside of Richmond Virginia

I am not only a wedding planner, but I am also a matchmaker.  You come to me as a resource.  I need to know what venues will fit your budget and style, what vendors will help create the perfect atmosphere, and what will make your event spectacular.  As your wedding matchmaker, I continuously go on venue tours. I want to know what is available so that I can then pass that information on to you. I originally toured Seven Springs a few years ago. I have, of course, been out there several times since, but it was time to do an official write up as much as changed.

Seven Springs is located almost equal distance from Richmond, Williamsburg, and Ashland. The scenic drive-in is enjoyable, and it lands you at the long tree-lined driveway. When you pulled into the front, the first thing you will notice is the charming main house and the manicured gardens.  It was warm and inviting.  It feels very Virginia. The red brick, the southern magnolias, and the overall rustic yet elegant setting really set the tone.

As a planner, the first thing I do was go over the flow of an event.  What type of experience would the guest have at Seven Springs? The venue offers lodging for twenty guests.  The rooms are clean and bright, perfect for portraits and getting ready photos.  There is a game room, which is great for the groom and his groomsmen to spend some time together.  There is a guest house on-site, complete with a full kitchen. If you are planning on staying the weekend, you won’t even need to leave the property.  You can enjoy your evenings by the fire pit and have your morning after breakfast catered on-site.  The carriage house is gorgeous, and a great location for boudoir or rehearsal dinner.  There are courtyards for cocktails, green grass for lawn games, and a newly added covered pavilion for the reception space.

Seven Springs Wedding Venue in Richmond Virginia tends to book the turn-key client. The clients that love the convenience, the time they are allowed on the property, and the gorgeous views.  I would love to see a full weekend takeover event happen here.  There is so much potential, it just needs the right vision. This venue would be the perfect setting for multiple levels of entertainment, live music, dancing, and food trucks.  It would really be a blast.

The venue can hold up to 200 guests.  They provide tables, chairs, a few decor pieces, and bistro lighting.  You can always bring in additional vendors and customize the space.  You can rent the venue for the entire weekend or just the day.  If you are to rent the venue for just the day, you have access from 10a-11p. The venue also provides lawn games and you have the option to add logs for the fire pit.  The venue also provides a parking attendant.  This is a great option if you do not decide to use a shuttle system.

Again with the ties to Virginia, they have Hog Island Sheep on the property. These wooly creatures add a bit of fun and whimsy to your event.  As you and your fiancé are framed up by two gorgeous magnolia trees saying your I do’s, the sheep will be getting ready for their photo op.  The sheep can be escorted around to visit with your guest and they are available for photos.  There are also a few chickens, and a pig named Pepper.

Everything at this venue is so thought out and each detail was centered-around creating an amazing experience for the couples. It has a sense of nostalgia and genuine authenticity. They have paid such close attention to the Virginia roots and that they have made it such a warm and inviting atmosphere to get married.
