In addition to the 360 degree mountain view you have so many options. Your guests will love enjoying cocktail hour around the pool, wandering through the various gardens, or looking out over the apple orchards.
Pharsalia is a family owned flower farm that has been outfitted for events. They can accommodate up to 200 guests and they have several ceremony locations to choose from. On site is a fully set up sail cloth tent, tables, chairs, a dance floor, lighting, and several unique props and carts to pull from. Being as they are a flower farm you can work with the onsite florist to design something unique to you and the farm. If you prefer to not use the florals from the farm that is totally fine too.
Pharsalia was built by Thomas Massie in 1814 as a wedding gift for his son. Over the years the property has produced, wheat, hops, tobacco, potatoes, apples, cranberries, bacon, ham, and flowers. The history of this venue is very apparent in the main house where there are rooms for getting ready, pre and post ceremony tours and gatherings, and an indoor bar area. The venue is loaded with southern hospitality with the charm and beauty of the mountains.
The closest hotels are going to be in Charlottesville or Lynchburg but the drive in is pretty so I’m sure not one of your guests will mind. If you opt for a shuttle service there is ample parking at the venue for cars and buses.
