How to use some of the items in the Emergency Kit:

  • Plastic Gloves

    -To protect yourself and others from things you don’t really want to touch

    -Can be filled with ice for an ice pack

    -Can be used in the event someone needs to serve food

  • Clear Nail Polish

    -If someone chipped a nail

    -To stop a run in hose

    -Prevent Ink from running

    -Prevent a string from unraveling

    -Set loose screws.  Just coat the screw before screwing it back in.

  • Razor

    -Sometimes someone forgets to shave

    -You may need to get pill off of a cardigan or blanket

    -Removing those annoying stickers from glass

  • Hairspray

    -Remove lipstick or ink from a shirt. Spray the stain and let it sit for a few minutes. It should wipe right off.  Fingers crossed

    -Spray on chalk letters.  This will help prevent smudging

  • Straws

    -Once your makeup is set, please use a straw to stay hydrated

    -Can be used to prevent necklaces from getting tangled.  Simply run the chain through the straw before closing the clasp.

    -Flower savers.  If you have some droopy flowers, put the stem in a straw and stand the back up.

  • Snacks

    -Don’t get anything with chocolate.  It makes a huge mess.

    -Be aware of things that crumble, or require any amount of work to eat

    -Lara Bars are a good solution.

  • Lollipops

    -These help raise blood sugar

    -More importantly they help get the little ones down the aisle

  • Large Safety Pins

    -Use them when and if the bustle comes undone

  • Binder Clips

    -Emergency Cuff Links

    -Table number holders

    -Cord Organizer

    -IPOD stand

  • Baby Powder

    -Helps with chaffing

    -Helps clean up grease and oil.  If you get any on your outfit just sprinkle and brush off

    -Put on baby powder BEFORE getting waxed.  It helps protect your skin

    -Sprinkle baby powder around the food tables at an outdoor event.  It will help keep ants away.

    -Dust a little powder on your eye lashes before mascara to really plump them up

  • Utility Clips

    -These are great to help keep table linens and tent flaps down on a windy day

  • White sheet

    -Drape the sheet over the dress while eating before ceremony

    -You can even pin the sheet under the dress for outdoor photos when it is wet or muddy

  • Chalk

    -If you can’t get a stain out, cover it with chalk

  • Blow-dryer

    -Speeds ups drying in the event you need to wash something off

    -Can also warm up candles enough to get them unstuck

  • Nightlight

    -Use this to test outlets

  • Crochet hook

    -Use this to button all of those small buttons on the dress

  • Bamboo Skewers

    -If the cake starts leaning, stick a few of these in it to buy some time while you rearrange the timeline

  • Quarters

    -Sometimes you may only have access to a vending machine
