Be Sage Day One: A Memorable Start in San Miguel de Allende
This year’s Be Sage Conference began at the stunning Live Aqua Resort in San Miguel de Allende. Event professionals from across the USA and Mexico gathered to explore advanced business strategies, entrepreneurship, and growth in the wedding and event industry. Attendees learned actionable steps from industry experts while networking in the beautiful backdrop of San Miguel de Allende. It was an incredible opportunity to immerse ourselves in both education and the vibrant culture of the city.
Learning Sessions and Warm Welcome at Live Aqua Resort
Upon check-in, attendees received vibrant market totes filled with local gifts and whimsical details like the locally produced bag charms. These thoughtful touches, alongside conference materials, connected us immediately to the vibrant culture of San Miguel. The opening sessions featured speakers from the event planning and entrepreneurial space, offering valuable insights and setting a motivating energy for the days ahead.
Interactive Culinary Experiences at Live Aqua Terrace
One of the highlights of the first day was the interactive experience on the terrace at Live Aqua. Attendees had the opportunity to dive into the rich culinary traditions of Mexico. We learned how to craft the perfect margarita with tequila lessons, mastered the art of making authentic guacamole, and even had hands-on fun creating our own tortillas. This interactive cooking experience not only added a fun, engaging element to the event but also gave attendees an opportunity to work in smaller groups.
A Stunning Rooftop Reception at the Rosewood Hotel
That evening, we headed to the iconic Rosewood Hotel for an unforgettable rooftop reception. The terrace offered breathtaking views of San Miguel at sunset, creating the perfect setting for lively entertainment. A mariachi band played, and Mojigangas—San Miguel’s life-sized puppets—paraded around the venue. Guests indulged in chef-attended food stations, signature margaritas, and received festive flower crowns and wide-brimmed hats. The evening perfectly embraced the culture and spirit of the city, leaving us excited for the next day’s experiences.
