Planning Bat Mitzvahs is a staple here at Swoon Soiree. This Celestial Cheer Theme Bat Mitzvah at The Jefferson Hotel was so much fun to produce.
The Venue
The Jefferson Hotel is a historic venue in Richmond, Va, but it is a versatile space that is perfect for large parties. It embraces the tradition and heirloom quality we strive for when producing events but can be transformed into a modern and edgy atmosphere that our design style is known for.
The Reception
There is typically a theme or color story that the guest of honor selects for their Bar or Bat Mitzvah celebration. It is usually something that the teen is interested in and showcases their personality and favorite things. For this event, our Bat Mitzvah loves cheer and was really looking forward to incorporating that into her event. The colors were light blue, silver, and lavender, three very celestial colors when put together. The guest tables were custom-built acrylic with space-themed floral arrangements. The reception had large lounge areas, a cosmic light show on the ceiling, and an impressive custom star installation over the bar.
The Guest Favors
For the teens, the favors were custom-scented bath bombs and shower spritzers. We partnered with a local body shop to create a unique color and scent for the favors. We also had branded hoodies placed on each of the chairs at the teen table. Coco and Hazel, a local milkshake restaurant, came on-site and made custom milkshakes for the guests. Amazing food and interactive dessert stations were essential to the family. We brought in a glitter, airbrush, and body paint artist for additional on-site entertainment. We built out a station for her, and all of the guests were able to come over and get tattoos, face painting, or a variety of body paint designs. These sparkly body paint designs looked amazing under all of the celestial lighting.
Electric Events DC was the entertainment company, and they had a surprise in store for our cheerleader! Not only did her friends surprise her with large letters spelling out her name, which was a nod to her cheerleading, but the entertainment company surprised her with one of the Commanders Football pro cheerleaders. He came out to her Bat Mitzvah and stunted and danced with her and her friends! It was such a huge hit.
The guests socialized, laughed, and danced all night. They enjoyed a montage, stunted with the professional cheerleader, and enjoyed milkshakes, cocktails, and great food. It was so much fun to plan and watch everyone have such a great night celebrating her Bat Mitzvah.
As always, I’d love to chat!
