Photographer Jennifer Milota and I went on a venue your to Fairview Farms in Powhatan Virginia. This venue is so turn-key that it can save a couple a boatload if rustic chic is what they are looking for. When you book with Fairview Farm you have complete access to the full estate. Fairview Farm can accommodate up to 25 guests for two nights on property. They have plans to build out their old dairy barn and will be able to accommodate even a higher overnight guest count in the future.
The barn is climate controlled and can hold 150 seated guests. The farm tables and antique chairs are included in the price. If your guest count exceeds 150 there is room on the patio and loft that can accommodate an additional 40 guests. The decor inside of the barn is changed seasonally and there are several items that can be borrowed to help enhance your event. Out on the covered patio are several chandeliers, a red vintage truck, and bathtubs used for drinks. There is a fire pit and great seating areas that look over the fields and far away mountains.
Also on the property is a pond that you can fish in or take a boat out on for photos. There are several ceremony sites, include a few gazebos and an old poplar tree.
When you book Fairview Farm you have the option to chose vendors from their preferred vendor list. If you choose the vendors off their list you will receive discounts. Should you decide to bring in your own vendor team, there is no fee associated, but you won’t receive the preferred discount. If you would like to see more photos of the venue, check out Jennifer Milotas blog or reach out to the venue directly at Fairview Farm Events.
