If you are looking for southern hospitality and a rustic venue, then you should check out Bandit’s Ridge. The farm is located on 25 acres out in Louisa Virginia. It is located right between Richmond and Charlottesville. They have hay fields, a barn, a main house with a pool, and horses.
At Bandit’s Ridge you can set up a rehearsal dinner or a buffet inside the barn and have the dining tables out on the patio. The patio is covered by a tent so rest assured your guests will be protected from in-climate weather. There are farm tables, wine barrels, bars, and chairs that are included and available for your use. Inside the barn there are several stalls. Each stall can be used for something different. Some common uses are the cake table, the memory table, a photo booth, a place to keep the gifts, or a place for the favors. Donna has even used a stall as a kids room. She set up pumpkins with stickers and craft supplies to occupy the children at the wedding.
Outside of the barn is a fire pit with benches around it. This is a great way to wrap up to the evening, or a fun place to roast s’mores. There are also several locations to have a ceremony. You can choose to have a ceremony in the hayfield, at the altar, or under the oak tree around the side of the house.
If you are planning on having your wedding party get ready onsite, there is suite available. The suite is complete with a living space, bedroom, kitchen, and a full bath. Near the house is a pool, a second fire pit, and a tiki bar. This is fun location for cocktail hour, a party, or just a low key morning before the big day.
Bandit’s Ridge is also available for all types of social events. The venue can seat up to 150 guests and still have room for a dance floor, bar, buffett, and cake table. Of course if you are hosting a different type of event the guest count may be different. The owners Donna and Brad love to entertain and truly, truly, truly, take care of their guests. I have spent some time with Donna and she is one of the sweetest people you will meet. She wants your day to be amazing, and she will do whatever it takes to make it happen.
