If you are looking for a beautiful southern style with spacious grounds, that is still in Richmond, this is the perfect location.  Located off of Mountain Road In Glen Allen this is just a short drive from the city.  The Virginia Cliffe Inn is an actual Bed and Breakfast where your guests could stay, or you could rent the whole estate and keep it for your honeymoon suite.  On the property there are manicured gardens, a grooms lounge, a bridal suite, a permanent tent, and a swan pond.  The walls are hand painted, and the house was built using reclaimed materials from the original farmhouse.  It is so stinking charming.

If you are looking for a turn key garden wedding, something with a little southern flair, or a backyard soiree, you should add The Virginia Cliffe Inn to your list. You can get married on the front steps of the Inn with the columns framing up your nuptials, or have the stately oak tree anchor your I Do’s.  Your guests will love the convenience of the location as well as the on site parking with parking attendants.

If you are wanting a winter wedding (please someone have a winter wedding), or if there is in-climate weather, you ceremony will be moved to the backyard under the tent.  This tent isn’t your regular pole tent.  It has been permanently installed.  The tent has walls that can be pulled down, lighting, and is is built over a patio so you will not be standing in the mud.

The Virginia Cliffe Inn is also available for bridal showers, baby showers, smaller events, rehearsal dinners etc.

On the day of our tour it was pouring down rain.  Like big fat raindrops.  Even through the bad weather I could just imagine a gorgeous wedding taking place.  I would love to see a southern, Gone with the Wind garden wedding here.  With the gardens and the swans it would be perfect.

Due to the big fat raindrops we weren’t able to spend a lot of time outside taking photos of the grounds.  Tara at Pattengale Photography did any amazing job showcasing the inside of the venue and capturing the front ceremony sites.  There are some photos of the backyard on The Virginia Cliffe Inn’s website which you can check out here.  However, I do recommend going to the venue and checking it out for yourself.  Kimberly Noonan is a wealth of knowledge and she can really show you how to best utilize all that the venue has to offer.
