Venue Tour: Seven Springs

I am not only a wedding planner, but I am also a match maker. You come to me as a resource. I need to know what venues will fit your budget and style, what vendors will help create the perfect atmosphere, and what will make your event spectacular. As your wedding match maker I conducted a venue tour. I wanted to know what was available, so that I can then pass that information on to you.

Our first stop was Seven Springs out in King William Virginia. From the scenic trip from Richmond, to the long tree lined drive, I couldn’t wait to see what this venue had to offer. When I pulled into the front, the first thing I noticed was the charming main house, and the manicured gardens. It was warm and inviting. It felt very Virginia. The red brick, the southern magnolias, and the overall rustic yet elegant setting really set the tone.

As a planner, the the first thing I did was go over the flow of an event. What type of experience would the guest have at Seven Springs? The venue offers lodging for twenty guests. The rooms are clean and bright, perfect for portraits and getting ready photos. There is a game room, which is great for the groom and his groomsmen to spend some time together. I’m sure catching up and reminiscing about the single life. There is also a full kitchen. If you are planning on staying the weekend, you won’t even need to leave the property. You can enjoy your evenings by the fire pit, and have your morning after breakfast catered by the venue. The carriage house is gorgeous, and a great location for boudoir or rehearsal dinner. There are courtyards for cocktails, green grass for lawn games, and my personal favorite the barn.

Again with the ties to Virginia, they have Hog Island Sheep on the property. If you don’t know about these sweet friends you can read about them here. These wooly creatures add a bit of fun and whimsy to your event. As you and your fiancé are framed up by two gorgeous magnolia trees saying your I do’s, the sheep will be getting ready for their photo op. There is nothing more adorable than a couple so in love and some sheep. Frame that one and put it on your mantle.

Everything at Seven Springs is so thought out and each detail was centered around creating an amazing experience for the couples. It has a sense of nostalgia and genuine authenticity. I love that they have paid such close attention to the Virginia roots and that they have made it such a warm and inviting atmosphere to get married.

Brittany is the venue coordinator at Seven Springs, and she couldn’t be more accommodating. These venue tours wouldn’t be possible without knowledgable venue coordinators and our friends in the industry. Lesley Bennett from Lettier Studio accompanied us, and these amazing photos are compliments of Stacey Dinch Photography.

We have several more stops on our venue tour so please stay tuned. I know that you are busy, so let me be your eyes and ears on the Richmond wedding market. If there is a venue you would like us to scope out, please just shoot me a message and we will get it scheduled.
